When God created us he made us 1 being in 3 elements a Trinity made up of Spirit, Body, and Soul. He patterned our makeup after him because God is 3 being in 1 as well The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit which is a Trinity. We are a reflection of the father in the earth. 1Thessalonians 5:23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The mind is the spirit man its where we connect with God. It is where we communicate and fellowship with God. We love ourselves, each other, and God in the mind. We have a purpose, meaning, and worship in the mind(spirit). It is also where we have communion and deciphers Good and evil. The mind is where our spiritual heart lives. That's why the enemy attack our mind because he knows that's how we stay connected to God.
Body
The body is often referred to in the bible as temple, house, and host. It is in our body that we connect to the physical world with our 5 senses vision, smell, hearing, taste, and touch. The body is made up of cells, organs, bones, nerves, and much more. The body is our flesh its what God formed from the dust of the earth. The body was created for God to dwell in and work throughout the earth.
Soul
The soul is the bridge between the mind and the body. It's through the soul that we live out our relationship with God and other people. Our soul has multiple components such as emotions, will, attitude, characteristics, and personality. If you are an artist, musician, dancer, chef, athlete, writer, etc., it comes from your soul. It is where your individuality comes from. The soul and the mind are complex; although they are different, they are the same and stay in communication constantly.
When God created you and me he used his features, that's why the bible says God made us in his image and his likeness and he didn't stop there. Gen 2:7 says, And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul. God formed man Body from the dust of the earth, and then he breathed his Spirit into his nostrils and man became a living Soul. Whenever you want to see God take a look in the mirror because we are all fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God.
