Fire Reveals What Is Real!🔥
Fire exposes the true nature of what it touches.
Gold isn’t pure at first. It has to go through the fire. When the heat turns up, what doesn’t belong comes to the surface, and what remains is shaped by the refiner. Therefore the fire cannot not coexist with impurities, and it’s the same when it comes to God’s presence. It reveals what is genuine in us and what is not. It exposes hidden motives, your unhealed wounds, shame, shortcomings, guilt, regret, and misplaced attachments surface, not to shame us, but to heal, rebuild, make whole, and renew.
In Isaiah, the 6th chapter, Isaiah realizes he’s standing in God’s presence and immediately feels discouraged because his lips (mouth) were unclean. He basically felt impure and undeserving of being placed before God. Instead of God rejecting him, a seraphim brought a coal from the altar of God and placed it in the very place he said he was unclean, and his sins were forgiven and his iniquity taken away. Even though he was ashamed and disdained he still remained in position and was able to be purified.
God’s consuming fire requires surrender! We are called to place our body willing on the sacrificial alter, noticed I said willingly. It’s your choice to make to remain before God while He purifies you. A lot of times we give in and tap out because the last impurities are burning off and the heat has intensified. Sometimes we jump out of the fire, and we never get a chance for our strength to be renewed, nor complete the purification process.
When you remove yourself, you are left in a fragile state. Any trials and tribulations after that just add more weight and stress to your fragile state. Now it feels like failure is all around you. You can’t see straight, think straight, or focus, and everything and everyone around you becomes frustrating.
However, real purification and transformation happens when we stay, when we trust God’s hands even when the heat feels intense and unbearable. Even when you can’t see a clear path or feel like you’ve lost your way, even when you feel like all hope is lost, remember that God is still a very present help. The Refiner never steps away during the process of burning the gold. Too little heat will leave impurities, and too much can damage the gold. God is in control even though everything feels out of control. He places you in his presence and mold you into his image!
Hold on to your faith and trust Jesus for your healing, strength, peace, and comfort. The Bible says He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Ask God to equip you with what you need, to remain in his presences in Jesus name and he will grant it. Don’t let the process make you bitter, but allow it to make you stronger. You are Victorious In Jesus name! I challenge you today, to live in that Truth!
Personal Reflection📖
What is God revealing in me right now, and how am I responding to it?
When the refining feels uncomfortable, do I stay or pull away—and why?
What does willing surrender look like for me today?
