Why do I keep falling for the trick of the enemy when I know through You there’s victory? When God created us he made us 1 being in 3 elements a Trinity made up of Spirit, Body, and Soul. He patterned our makeup after him because God is 3 being in 1 as well The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit which is a Trinity. Discovering myself after an abusive relationship!!!!!!

So many women today are dealing with some form of abuse. Statistics show that it takes a woman being abused 7 times minimum before walking away from an abusive relationship. Growing up, I’ve seen women in abusive relationships and I thought to myself, "I could never sta y with a man that abuses me." But then it happened. I fell in love and got engaged to who I thought, at the time, was my future husband. Boy, was I wrong! The relationship became abusive mentally, physically, verbally, and emotionally, and for the first time in life, I genuinely feared for my life. The amount of fear I felt was paralyzing me more and more each day. Even though I was free to walk out the door, it felt like a leash was tied around my neck like a caged animal. I can recall multiple nights texting my parents and grandparents and my friends and family, telling them that I love them out fear of never seeing them again. Every day that I woke up was a blessing. Today I want to take you on a journey back to the beginning of time starting with Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. When God created Adam he created him in his image and likeness. The word image can be translated in Hebrew into Shadow, representation of a substance, shade, resemblance, an illusion. Which means God gave us his features when he created Man. That's why we can hear, see, and smell because they are all things that God can do. Although image and likeness are the same they are yet different. The other night in my kitchen my husband and I were discussing Tuesday night bible study which was amazing. I open my bible it was on the table next to me and I automatically turned to Isaiah 59 and the title of the chapter was separation from God and it immediately caught my attention. I begin to read it and it begins to say the Lord's hand is not so short that it cannot save, nor is his ear dull that he cannot hear. But your iniquity(which is secret sin) have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear. Right at that moment, I knew God was trying to get my attention. The scriptures go on to talk about how sinful living and the secret sins we have committed separate us from the father, and you can tell by the context of the scripture God was not pleased with what was happening amongst his people. Who am I?

Today is the day I decided to not allow fear to rule my life. Today is the day I decided to make a change, not for just today, but forever. Today I walk in my true identity. I say that because the bible says God did not give us the spirit of fear, but of power, love and of a sound mind. Me writing and starting a blog has always been a dream of mine, but fear always crept in and paralyzed me from going forward. Tonight at this moment at this very second I decided not to let fear rule in my life. I decided not to hide, but move forward and live out one of my dreams and that's becoming a writer. The more I type I realize how much I allowed doubt overshadow so much in every aspect of my life. I'm slowly but surely finding my Identity, and on this road, I've found that my Identity is in God. The closer I get to him the more I discover about myself. I come to pose a question to the human race? Who am I? One of the biggest battles we have in life is knowing who we truly are? ...
