  Are you struggling with the spirit of heaviness? A person who is feeling the influence of the spirit of heaviness may feel like the things they used to do with ease now look overwhelming. Like it’s just too hard, Too big, Too discouraging to face. The smallest task can look like a mountain when heaviness is operating. Also a  spirit of heaviness can also be caused by unconfessed sin in our lives. Disobedience to God and His Word puts a wall between us and our Lord and only a heart of repentance will bring restoration.     This is a message for someone who is considering returning to a place from which God has delivered them! In Genesis, it talks about two angels who went to Abraham and informed him that they were on their way to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah due to God's judgment upon the cities because of homosexuality and sexual perversion! Abraham pleaded for the safety of his nephew Lot and his family, and the angels granted Abraham's request.  When the angels arrived at the city, they encountered the men of Sodom who insisted that the angels stay with them because Sodom was a dangerous place for them. When the men saw Lot taking the angels back to his house, they attacked Lot in an attempt to reach the angels. The Bible states that they surrounded the house, as every man in the city desired to engage in intimate relations with the angels.  The angels warned Lot that they were about to destroy everyone in the city, so he should gather his family and leave without looking back...

    Why do we worry? The reason we worry is because we have no peace. We become focused and zoned in on our situation and what's happening around us. Many people find confidence and stability in their possessions! One of the main reasons people worry is because they are obsessed with control and ownership. They feel that until they own a thing or have it in their possession, they don't have security. They feel that if certain things aren't happening, then their lives are falling apart. So they worry and seek comfort. God can assure us that it is on the way, but you don't find comfort until it's in your reach. We begin seeking comfort in all sorts of ways. What if God is calling you to a consecration? It is so important for us to consecrate ourselves because it keeps us blameless and presentable before God. Consecration means to make Holy or dedicated to a higher purpose. In Exodus 22:31, God commands the nation of Isarel to "be a Holy people", to set themselves apart for devotion and worship to the one and only true God. That hasn't changed now that we are under the blood of Jesus Christ. Even though we are under grace, Jesus has commanded us to be Holy as his Father is Holy! Start your consecration off by dedicating your heart to God.  To consecrate yourself is to answer God's call to spiritual consecration.
